How to Set Up a WordPress Website

Setting up a WordPress website can be done on your even if you don’t have a background in web development. Whether you want a business website, a blog, or even a ecommerce website, as long as you can follow detailed instructions, you can set it up your own.

Step 1: Choose a hosting provider

If already have a hosting provider, skip this step, otherwise read this article to read more details on how to choose a hosting provider.

Step 2: Install WordPress

When installing WordPress, you can either install it manually or use applications provided by your hosting provider.

Most hosting provider will let you install WordPress using their application.  All you have to do is to click on the app, then fill up the form. The form usually lets you choose the domain name and the folder for the WordPress installation. You may be ask to provide your desired username, password, and email address for your new WordPress site.

However, if no WordPress application is available or you just want to install WordPress manually, you can still do so.

Step 3: Customizing Your WordPress Website

WordPress CMS is really made for ordinary users. With so many free themes and plugins available, achieving your desired website is possible, though there are still limitations. Also, you can explore on premium themes and plugins if you want to achieve a more complex functionality.
